Boredom Free Retirement Series — Retirement For Seniors

Senior Boredom Series — Recognize when a major disruption's impact will change the outcome.

The Senior Activity Series

Practical strategies for a fulfilling, engaged retirement

"Most retirement programs focus on finances. The Senior Activity Series focuses on what actually makes retirement worth living — purpose, connection, and staying mentally sharp every single day."

As children into adulthood, people were told retirement is about finances. Others treat boredom as a motivation or scheduling problem. Marc sees it differently: retirement is one of the biggest disruptions a person will ever face — the role disappears, the routine disappears, and the daily structure disappears, often all at once. Marc applies that same "before-it-happens" thinking to The Senior Activity Course. This shift in perspective comes from his additional training and eight years as a Certified Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Planner, trained to recognize when a major disruption's impact will change the outcome for the people affected. This typically plays out when a person loses their identity as work ends and retirement begins. The Senior Activity Course and Q&A are built around a simple truth: staying engaged happens in three stages — just like the scam-awareness series — before, during, and after. The core presentation walks attendees through the warning signs that show up early, including the loss of daily structure, the identity gap that opens when a career role disappears, and the quiet drift toward isolation that often follows. The course then covers what to do during the adjustment period: rebuilding routine, reconnecting socially, and testing new activities. Retirees put this into practice with a three-part framework — one physical, one purposeful, and one social/connection action per day, for 30 days. The final core portion covers the after: what to do once boredom has already set in. This includes part-time work, volunteering, and joining structured social groups or clubs, so attendees leave knowing exactly where to start next. The final segment between the presentation and Q&A introduces attendees to our Skool community, where they can revisit the latest videos on staying engaged and other senior-focused topics, post questions, and get answers directly from a training coach — turning a one-hour session into ongoing support. Skool continues where the video ends. Every attendee leaves with a one-page, two-sided handout designed to be kept on the refrigerator or by the phone. One side lays out the stages covered in the session, losing structure, losing identity, and drifting toward isolation. The other side lists 100 activities to assist retirees engaged again. It's a physical reminder that reinforces everything covered live, long after the presentation ends.
